‘Avengers: Endgame’ boosts Build-A-Bear sales with name-drop

Avengers: Endgame is nothing short of a phenomenon. Everyone loves it, so it’s no surprise that it’s helped boost sales in a lot of markets — including Build-A-Bear.

If you remember the scene where Rocket Racoon startled Iron Man who said, “At this exact second, I thought you were a Build-A-Bear.” Rocket responded, saying that it might be true, which was very strange.

The scene was pretty hilarious and apparently has helped boost sales for the company. Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John acknowledged that the boost in sales was due to the Marvel movie mentioning the store.

“(Sales) were further enhanced by Marvel’s generous and welcome nod to Build-A-Bear in the movie’s first 10 minutes. That’s just one more example of Build-A-Bear’s top culture presence and power,” John said during a conference call.

The exact numbers are unknown, but the sales are expected to be significant for Build-A-Bear. The two companies have worked together before, as Build-A-Bear carries an entire Marvel line. You can get a stuffed Thanos, bears themed around Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Thor and Spider-Man.

One such petition that’s been discovered concerns Iron Man and his role at the end of the latest Avengers movie. Spoiler warning, this article will discuss the finale of Endgame.

Some fans seem to be displeased with the fate of Tony Stark in the recent film, which had Stark sacrifice himself in order to defeat Thanos and save the universe.

While this is one of the most hard-hitting aspects of the latest Marvel movie, some fans feel Iron Man deserved a happier ending, and are making their opinions known.

The petition was revealed on Change.org, carrying the title “BRING TONY STARK BACK TO LIFE #savetonystark #TonyStark.” At this point, the page has eclipsed 39,000 signatures, and the number is still rising.
