'Avengers: Endgame' producer confirms Captain America age at film's end
The end of Avengers: Endgame left us with a lot of mixed emotions about some of our favorite characters, one being Captian America.
While some over fan-favorite Marvel characters met tragic fates at the end of the film, Captain America actually had a happy ending once Thanos was defeated.

After Steve Rogers dropped off the Infinity Stones and Thor’s hammer Mjolnir to where they needed to be, he time-traveled to the past to live out a happy life with Peggy Carter.
At the end of the film, he came back as an elderly man who had lived a full life. We saw him pass on the iconic shield to Sam at the very end. And while it was definitely satisfying, we still had some questions. One of the biggest aspects that Marvel fans pondered was just how old Captain America was at the very end.
Now, that question has been answered.
Endgame visual effects producer Jen Underdahl spoke to WIRED about how they aged Chris Evans to look so old at the very end. Underdahl is the one who actually revealed that the hero was 106 at the end of the film.
The producer said they had to digitally shrink Evans’ neck, shoulders and profile to make him look older. They also had an older body double perform the scene as well to achieve “that 106-year-old super soldier look.”
If you really think about the MCU timeline, Rogers was born in 1918 and the majority of Endgame takes place in 2023, so the numbers add up.
There have been a lot of different explanations and theories about Captain America’s time traveling in the film. While that’s highly disputed, at least we now know how old he was supposed to be.

Spider-Man fans have been in mourning ever since Sony and Disney cut ties, which means the character must leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was recently reported that Kevin Feige will no longer produce future spidey films due to the inability of the companies to “reach new terms that would have given (Sony) a co-financing stake going forward.”
The last two films Feige produced with Spider-Man, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home, both broke records.
According to Deadline, there are two more Spider-Man films in the works directed by Jon Watts and again starring Tom Holland. However, Feige won’t be the lead creative producer.
Deadline goes on to discuss the entire thing coming down to money.
“Disney asked that future Spider-Man films be a 50/50 co-financing arrangement between the studios, and there were discussions that this might extend to other films in the Spider-Man universe,” the report states. “Sony turned that offer down flat, and I don’t believe they even came back to the table to figure out a compromise.”
A few days later, Sony put out a statement on Twitter about the split and the future of the franchise.
“Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film,” the thread began.
“We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own,” it continues.
“Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue,” the thread finishes.
Now, it’s really set in to fans that the future of Spider-Man is largely unknown without the Marvel tie. Therefore, they’ve been making lots of memes about the whole ordeal to cope and share online.
