Avengers: Endgame’ director reveals ideal casting if The Rock joined MCU
Avengers: Endgame won big at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, taking home the prize for Best Movie.
Also at the awards, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was being honored for his lifetime achievements, and apparently the two worlds collided.

While at the awards Marvel director Anthony Russo was asked where The Rock would fit into the MCU.
“The superhero that I would most like The Rock to play is The Rock. He is the best version of him,” Russo answered.
While it definitely wasn’t exactly what we were looking for, he has a point — The Rock is a bit superhuman already. Does this mean The Rock will make an appearance the next time the Avengers decide to assemble? We’ll have to wait and see.
As previously stated, Johnson was given the MTV Generation Award and came out the only way that seemed appropriate — to “We Will Rock You” by Queen.
Rock’s elaborate entrance featured choreography, gigantic signs and more. He also gave a passionate speech about his career, and you can see it all below.

Avengers: Endgame co-creator Anthony Russo gave a speech when the film won the big award, and part of it honored the late Stan Lee.
The film was up against BlacKkKlansman, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and Us.
Before the huge win, Robert Downey Jr. won the award for Best Hero, which he accepted remotely. You can see him accept that below.

Then, the film won over-all. Russo took the stage to accept it, and Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth video-chatted in to join him.
In his speech, Russo mentioned Lee and the legacy Endgame is leaving.
“A movie like this is only possible because it’s been built on the shoulders of so much great work and so many talented artists and storytellers, stretching back decades and generations now, all the way back to its origins with the late, great Stan Lee,” Russo said. You can watch his full speech below.
