‘Avengers: Endgame’ scene sparks perfect Deadpool, MCU crossover theory

Last month, Disney confirmed the future of Deadpool after the company merged with 21st Century Fox. Since then, we’ve been dreaming of the possible crossovers that can happen within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In case you missed it, Disney chairman Alan Horn spoke at a presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas and discussed the franchise.

“You’ll be seeing more of Deadpool in the years to come,” he said.

During the presentation, Horn showed a tweet from Ryan Reynolds, who played the titular character. Reynolds tweeted a joke about the merger after it was announced featuring his character on a school bus sporting Mickey Mouse ears.

“Feels like the first day of ‘Pool,” the tweet reads.

Disney’s merger means that now, Deadpool could join other characters, such as the Avengers, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And now, one fan theory has a pretty good idea on how that could happen.

Twitter user Todd Broskii recently discussed a funny moment from Avengers: Endgame that features Fortnight and figured out how to work Deadpool into it.

“Introduce him playing Fortnite under the username NoobMaster69,” he tweeted.

In case you forgot, NoobMaster69 comes from the scene in Endgame where the Hulk and Rocket attempt to enlist in Thor’s help to get the Infinity Stones back. They find Thor who is much bigger and in a depressed state. He’s also really into videogames. He is called up in the film by Korg to scare off another Fortnite player who goes by the name of NoobMaster69.

This could be the crossover we all want and need, so let’s just see if Disney makes it happen.

Other Endgame news

Avengers: Endgame completely took the world’s undivided attention around its release, but now the film is taking a spot in box-office history.

Following its fourth weekend in the box office, the latest installment of Marvel’s Avengersseries has taken over second place at the U.S. domestic box office according to Box Office Mojo.

Following the weekend, Endgame’s $770.8 million pushed the film past the second-grossing film, Avatar, which topped out at $760.5 million domestically. Despite the close placing for second, Star Wars: The Force Awakens seemingly has a stranglehold on first, netting $936.6 million.

While this is no small feat, Avatar still has the edge on a global scale. At the end of its time at the box office, the film grossed $2.78 billion worldwide. Avengers: Endgame is still behind by a small margin, sitting at $2.61 billion.

However, Endgame did well enough to pass Titanic, which peaked at $2.128 billion.

While Endgame only has a small amount to go in order to pass Avatar, it may not reach the lofty goal. Some stiff competition from Disney is set to release in the coming weeks, including Aladdin and Toy Story 4.

The only content that’s come close to taking the spotlight from Avengers is Game Of Thrones, which could’ve possibly shared an actor if not for a rough audition.

Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in Endgame, auditioned for the role of Daenerys Targaryen.

Olsen shared the story of her apparently “bad audition” with Vulture.

“When I first started working, I just auditioned for everything, because I like auditioning. And I auditioned for Khaleesi. I forgot that,” she says. “It was the most awkward audition I’d ever had.”

She says her audition consisted of her performing a monologue from the end of the first season.

“[From] after she just burned,” Olsen explains. “And she’s making this speech to thousands of people about how she’s their queen. They didn’t know if they wanted a British accent or not. So, you did it in both. It was terrible. Anytime someone says, ‘Bad audition story.’ That’s one I remember.”
