Axl Rose, Mickey Rourke mistaken for married couple on local newscast

A local news broadcast accidentally wished Axl Rose and actor Mickey Rourke a happy 50th wedding anniversary. The photo used in the newscast depicts the “newlyweds” at a boxing match in Los Angeles earlier this month.

After a photo of the pair surfaced on Twitter, someone slyly submitted the photo to the local station under the names Max and Geraldine Bailey. As a part of the station’s “anniversary and birthday” segment, the misleading photo of the two friends was broadcast on the small screen for everyone to see.

We think it is safe to say that there aren’t any die-hard Guns N’ Roses fans at this station. Regardless, the prank is impossible not to giggle about.

Luckily, a Twitter user documented the hilarious prank. There, we can see Rose and Rourke nestled in a sea of other older couples. Check out the segment below.

According to Loudwire, the Canadian station still has yet to address the mix-up.

Last month, Axl Rose took to Twitter to share that he was not a fan of Guns N’ Roses’ music being played at Trump rallies.

“Personally, I kinda liked the irony of Trump supporters listening to a bunch of anti-Trump music at his rallies,” Rose says in a tweet. “I don’t imagine a lot of ‘em really get that or care.”

However, Axl Rose isn’t the only member of Guns N’ Roses to be in the news as of late. Slash recently shared that his collaborative track with Myles Kennedy “The One You Loved Is Gone” was rejected by The Walking Dead. Additionally, Slash raised debate by saying that the future of rock music depends on bands like Greta Van Fleet.
