The special “Distorton” 12-inch will be released worldwide Friday, Nov. 23, as part of Record Store Day Black Friday, as revealed on the BABYMETAL website and reported by Kerrang. The new wax will feature the studio version of “Distortion” as its A-side, along with this very Download Festival performance of the tune on the flip:

And the newest BABYMETAL news comes after the group announced a graphic novel and experience some personnel issues ahead of their recent tours: Earlier this year, it was reported that member Yuimetal was absent from the band’s shows. However, a spokesperson later confirmed that the vocalist is still in the band.

“There is a new narrative for the future of the band which is currently evolving,” the representative said at the time. “The storyline has changed. This was the basis of the ‘Metal Resistance Episode 7: The Revelation’ video.”

Could this be the continuation of the new era of BABYMETAL that the band warned us about, along with the foundation of their very own record label? Sound off in the comments, below, and let us know your fave BABYMETAL song!
