Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman unite in first ‘Justice League’ footage

Warner Bros. treated fans at San Diego Comic Con with the first official footage from Justice League and that footage is now online.

Bruce Wayne travels the globe to unite a group of heroes to defend the Earth from an impending threat hinted at in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which ended with the death (for now) of the movie version of Superman introduced in Man Of Steel and introduced Ben Affleck in the cape and cowl.

The new footage from Justice League provides an extended look at Affleck interacting with Jason Momoa of Game Of Thrones as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot, who reprises the role of Wonder Woman from Batman v Superman.

Fans at San Diego Comic Con were also treated to the a new trailer for Wonder Woman which is also now available online.

As promised by journalist reports from a recent set visit the footage feels a bit more fun in tone than the movie's heavy handed predecessor, which endeavored to build a shared movie universe for the DC Comics heroes owned by Warner Bros. akin to Disney's Marvel Comics movie universe.

The next chapter in the DC extended universe will be the super villain team-up Suicide Squad which is set for release on August 5. Justice League and Wonder Woman will follow next year. Warner Bros. has announced a full slate through 2020, which includes standalone films for Aquaman, Flash, Shazam, Cyborg and another Justice League installment. There are standalone films for Batman and Superman in the works, as well.
