2. Tegan And Sara will embark on a 10-year run in honor of The Con!

To mark the celebration of their fifth album's 10th Anniversary, Tegan And Sara will be performing intimate, acoustic arrangements of all 14 of the album's songs, along with some fan favorites.

The duo co-produced The Con with Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla, and the record gave the twins their first-ever Billboard Top 200 charting. Each had the following to say regarding the landmark release:

Tegan states, “The first four records of our career felt like we were navigating winding mountain roads. With The Con, it was obvious we had turned a corner and hit an open stretch of highway. It felt like our first fully realized Tegan and Sara record. Which made it then and still makes it now a very important record to us.”

And Sara noted, “To launch The Con in 2007, we performed the album sequentially. It was a difficult album to translate live, because most of the songs had deep layers of ideas and textures, taken directly from our home demos and made even denser in the studio. Much of the album hasn't been performed live in nearly a decade and it's with great pleasure that we take these beloved songs back to the stage.”

A portion of tour proceeds will benefit the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which fights for economic justice, health and representation of LGBTQ girls and women.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 16 on the ladies' website.
