Better Off announce new album 'Milk' on Equal Vision—stream “Whatever, I Don’t Care”

Nashville, Tennessee’s Better Off will release their sophomore full-length album, Milk, on September 11, 2015 via Equal Vision Records. The record was produced by Saves The Day's Arun Bali, engineered/mixed by Matt McClellan (Being As An Ocean) and mastered by Kris Crummett (Issues, the Story So Far).

Milk, as a whole, is basically a landmark of maturation and solidarity for us as a band,” shares Better Off vocalist/guitarist Luke Granered. “We went in knowing what we wanted the record to sound like and not caring if it fit in with any group of bands specifically, which can be a serious setback sometimes creatively speaking. Big guitar sounds, hooky choruses, guitar solos. We just wanted it to be a rock record, and something we could enjoy playing for a very long time.”

Their lead single is “Whatever, I Don't Care,” which Granered shares the meaning for:

“'Whatever, I Don’t Care’ is about a generation of Internet activists that are ready to be mad at anything in a moment’s notice, and are ready to tear each other apart by any means necessary. But only if it’s not in person, because what they are passionate about tends to be forgotten when they log off. Typically, the focus of the anger is misplaced and unnecessary.”
