StubHub selling Bikini Kill tickets at quadruple the face value
After announcing their reunion, Bikini Kill tickets sold out in literally one second. However, it looks like most of the buyers weren’t really Bikini Kill fans. In fact, a good majority of the tickets are being resold on ticket resale sites for triple, quadruple or even nonuple (that’s nine times) their face value.
According to AXS, the tickets were originally priced between 40 and 45 dollars. However, StubHub prices reveal that the cheapest Bikini Kill ticket is now selling at 104 dollars for Hollywood, 179 dollars for New York City and 225 dollars for Brooklyn. The most expensive Bikini Kill ticket is selling for 775 dollars at the time of press.

Of course, this has infuriated lots of Bikini Kill fans. Many are citing the irony of ticket scalpers selling out a riot grrrl band’s show. Recognizably anti-capitalist, it’s pretty safe to say that Kathleen Hanna would not approve of this. However, many fans are criticizing the band of not taking the proper precautions against ticket bots and scalpers.
Bikini Kill tickets selling out in 1 second and then going for $379.05+ on StubHub is the least riot grrrl thing to ever happen

Like, did I expect this to sell out quickly? Yes. Is it disappointing because it’s Bikini Kill, who literally put “we hate capitalism in all its forms” in the riot grrrl manifesto? Yes!

You need to take precautions to deter scalpers. Your shows are gonna be packed with dweebs with $900 for tickets.

Additionally, some scalpers are asking for an extra 50 dollars to even ship the tickets.
And they want $52 to ship the tickets.
