Billie Eilish tops Billboard 200 with debut album

Billie Eilish has taken the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

The album, which dropped March 29, had the third-biggest ever streaming week for an album by a woman behind Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next and Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy.

The 17-year-old musician is also the first artist born in the 2000s to have a No. 1 album on the shart. She’s the youngest artist to hit No. 1 since Shawn Mendes in 2015 and the youngest woman since Demi Lovato in 2009 to have a No. 1 record.

Eilish’s album has had the second-biggest opening week for 2019 so far.

Besides Eilish’s huge success on Billboard, she also is now the youngest female solo act in UK chart history to debut at No. 1 on the Official UK albums chart.

Since her album dropped, she’s made a lot of famous fans. She geeked out when Hayley Williams from Paramore and Avril Lavigne gushed about her album.

Also, Justin Bieber apparently followed her and Dave Grohl showed up to Ellen to watch her perform after previously comparing the hype around the artist to Nirvana in the ‘90s. In addition, Angela Kinsey, who plays Angela in The Office, celebrated the singer’s debut album.

Eilish just recently posted some adorable photos of her parents taking selfies outside of billboards with her face on it, and it’s almost too cute.

In other news, Eilish blessed us with another weirdly iconic music video for her track “bad guy.” You can watch that below.
