We are about 10 days away from the release of Billie Eilish‘s new documentary The World’s A Little Blurry.

Along with teasing details about her next album and possibly executive producing a new film, Billie Eilish is gearing up for the release of her new documentary. The World’s A Little Blurry officially arrives on Feb. 26 and offers a vulnerable look inside Eilish’s rise to fame over the years.

Rumors of the documentary first surfaced back in October 2019 when Eilish was on tour. The vocalist was seen being followed around by a video crew, hinting that a new project was on the way. Then, in September 2020, Eilish finally confirmed that a documentary was in the works. The World’s A Little Blurry reportedly wasn’t cheap for Apple. According to reports, the documentary is part of a $25 million deal with Eilish.

After unveiling the first trailer in December, and the second earlier this month, Eilish has finally opened up about how she really feels about the documentary. On Sunday, Eilish posted a new video talking more about The World’s A Little Blurry. It turns out, she watched the documentary for the first time completely by herself. Why? Well, she wasn’t ready to see it with her family just yet.

“We were in my living room,” she said. “I was like, ‘Nope, nobody’s allowed to see it – not my family – nobody’s allowed to see it until I’ve seen it, cos I knew there was some stuff in there that I was gonna be mortified by.’”

Although she felt nervous about seeing it for the first time, Eilish says she feels so much joy for the way the film came out.

“Shit happened,” she continues. “I had a stomachache the entire day, but I cried out of joy for a lot of it. I never would have thought that anyone would be able to capture exactly what was going on in such a beautiful, intimate way.”

Last month, Eilish told Vanity Fair that filming The World’s A Little Blurry was very difficult at times.

“It’s really about my life, me, in such a way that I was not expecting, and was pretty brutal to relive,” she said. “I was going through hell in certain parts of my life, and I had no idea anyone was seeing it. The fact that they have footage of it and you can see my emotions…”

The World’s A Little Blurry officially arrives on Feb. 26. Following its release, it looks like the countdown for Eilish’s new music is starting. Back in December, Eilish hinted that her next musical era is beginning after the film’s debut. Shortly after, she seemingly confirmed just how many songs are on her forthcoming sophomore album.

So far, Eilish has unveiled a few previews of her new music. Back in July, she debuted her emotional single “my future” along with an animated video. Then, in November, she treated fans to her carefree video for “Therefore I Am.”

More recently, she dropped her highly-anticipated collaboration with Rosalía Lo Vas A Olvidar” which premiered during a new episode of Euphoria. The tracks follow up 2019’s “everything i wanted” as well as her James Bond theme “No Time To Die.”

Outside of her music, Eilish has been candid about her rise to fame over the years. Last month, she shared why her loved ones cared more about that photo of her in a tank top than she did. As well, she also explained what she misses most about mosh pits as the pandemic continues to postpone and cancel festivals and concerts this year.
