Billie Eilish condemns glamorizing drugs, peer pressure

Billie Eilish has recently condemned drug use in a new interview with the Guardian. When talking about her song “Xanny,” from her brand-new album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, she references the harmful implications of drugs.

Additionally, the song in question hones in on the effect of peer pressure, especially among young people. When talking about “Xanny,” Eilish wants to pull back on the glamorization of drug use.

“I know people around you doing that shit makes you want to, but you don’t have to,” Eilish says of the song. “I don’t want my friends to die anymore.”

Additionally, in the interview, she reveals that she has never done any form of drugs herself, which we think is immensely commendable.

“I’ve never got high, I’ve never smoked anything in my life,” Eilish says. “I don’t give a fuck, I never have. It’s just not interesting to me. I have other shit to do.”
