Billie Eilish says Eminem freaked her out as a child

Given Billie Eilish and her horror-tinged aesthetic, you would think the singer isn’t afraid of much. However, she just revealed that she was terrified of Eminem as a child.

The 17-year-old star opened up to Noisey about her fear of the “Stan” rapper in a segment where she was asked to choose between different things.

The subject came up when Eilish was asked to choose a favorite rapper between Drake, Childish Gambino and Eminem. She said she was “1 billion percent” picking Gambino.

“I was scared of Eminem my whole life. Dude, terrified,” she said. “The dude freaked the fuck out of me. Oh my god. But you know Childish Gambino created me.”

She also revealed some other shocking news that she has never had a Pop Tart in her life.

She later went on to pick Biggie Smalls over Tupac and Jay-Z when she was asked to choose between those rappers.

“I feel like Tupac’s vibe is cooler. Biggie’s voice just feels like a big heavy, warm blanket on you, which is probably what it feels like if he laid on top of you,” she said.

She also picked the Beatles over Elvis Presley because she’s never listened to the latter’s music.

“I’ve actually never really heard Elvis. I was born too late for that. His hips be movin’ though,” she said.

More Billie Eilish news

Eilish recently tested her fandom of The Office with Rainn Wilson, and it was pretty much everything. With her debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, we learned she’s a huge fan of the show.

Eilish sampled the show in “My Strange Addiction,” which caught the attention of Angela Kinsey, who plays Angela on the show.

The Office creators also recently revealed they were a bit confused when Eilish requested to sample the show, but excited in general.

Besides The Office cast, Eilish has made a lot of famous fans since the album dropped. She geeked out when Hayley Williams from Paramore and Avril Lavigne gushed about her album.

Justin Bieber also followed her, and Dave Grohl showed up to Ellen to watch her perform. The latter previously compared the hype around the artist to Nirvana in the ‘90s.

Sleeping With Sirens’ vocalist Kellin Quinn took to Instagram to share an adorable and heart-warming video of his daughter and niece dancing along to the singer’s “you should see me in a crown.”

The musician is set to play Glastonbury, and her slot got upgraded to a larger stage that can accommodate more people.

Eilish really has been having a huge year. She’s celebrated taking the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with her debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

Not to mention she’s also the first musician born in the 2000s to do so. The singer also just received her first Top 10 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In addition, Eilish’s album has had the second-biggest opening week for 2019 so far.

Her most recent music video for “bad guy” is also a sight to behold. You can check that out below.
