Then, at the end of last year, Eilish seemingly confirmed that her new music era may be on the way. Back in December, she shared a series of Instagram Stories about the status of her new album and her iconic hair color.

It turns out, Eilish is preparing to change her hair after her new documentary The World’s A Little Blurry is released on Feb. 26. The official hair change will then mark the end of her WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE WE DO GO? era.

“I have a fun story to tell you, but first, fuck you guys,” she said. “Stop making fun of me oh my god, I’m fucking making you an album. I will not put it out if you keep making fun of my hair, shut up. I’m changing it after the doc [documentary] comes out, it will be the end of an era. I’m gonna give you a new era, I have announcements to make. I have some shit to put out. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Leave me alone [and] let me live with my fucking hair that I’ve had for far too long.”

Now, it looks like Eilish may have just confirmed how many songs are on her next album. She recently answered a few fan questions on Instagram including one that asked how many songs are on the next LP. Eilish then cryptically wrote out 1-16 on the post.

“I’m really, really happy that we’ve been able to make the things that we’re making,” she said. “And I can’t wait for you to hear this shit. I can’t wait to have the world hear. I’m very excited and hopeful for the future.”

Outside of her new music, Eilish has been candid about her rise to fame over the years. Last month, she shared why her loved ones cared more about that photo of her in a tank top than she did.
