Billie Eilish postpones the rest of her 2020 ‘Where Do We Go?’ tour

May has already been quite the month for Billie Eilish. Just last week, her brand new radio show on Apple Music with her dad launched. Now, Eilish is updating fans on the future of her Where Do We Go? world tour.

On Wednesday, it was announced on Twitter that the remaining dates of the Where Do We Go? world tour are postponed. This is due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Various festivals and tours have been canceled over the past few months due to the pandemic. More recently, Reading & Leeds Festival, Glastonbury, Sad Summer Festival and Mayhem Festival have all been canceled. As well, Paramore‘s Hayley Williams announced her solo tour has been rescheduled along with Halsey‘s Manic North American tour.

Eilish announced her world tour back in September 2019. The tour kicked off March 9 in Miami. Eilish was able to get a few shows into the tour before the pandemic forced her to postpone all of her North American dates. However, her shows in Latin America, Europe and the U.K. were still scheduled to go on as planned. Now, it has been announced that the entire world tour is postponed indefinitely.

News about the tour’s postponement was released on Eilish’s Twitter page on Wednesday.

“Out of an abundance of caution, all dates on Billie’s WHERE DO WE GO? WORLD TOUR have been postponed,” the tweet says. “All dates are proactively being rescheduled.”

The announcement also shares that once the tour is rescheduled, new dates will be released. All tickets that have already been purchased for the tour will be honored for the rescheduled dates.

“As soon as dates are finalized, Billie will share the updated schedule and all tickets will be honored accordingly,” the tweet says. “Thank you for understanding. Stay safe, and stay home.”

Ticketmaster is currently making headlines for their refund policies on rescheduled shows. The ticketing company and its partner Live Nation are facing a number of lawsuits from ticket holders over their controversial refund policies set in place.
