Global Citizen’s “One World: Together At Home” broadcast was set up in order to raise funds for the World Health Organization. Tons of musicians and celebrities joined together and raised nearly $128 million for the cause

Some highlights from the event were Billie Eilish and FINNEAS’ stunning cover of “Sunny” by Bobby Hebb, Armstrong’s acoustic rendition of the American Idiot staple “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and the Killers rocking a slim-downed version of “Mr. Brightside.”

“Sending our love to you,” Eilish said after the performance. “I want to thank all of the healthcare workers who are risking their lives to save ours.” Watch it below.

Armstrong got right to business with his moving performance of the 2004 Green Day single. Armstrong’s performance was cut together with photos of empty streets, subways and landmarks during the pandemic.

Eagle-eyes Green Day fans might also notice that Armstrong is wearing the same shirt that he wore in the 1994 hit “Longview.” Check it out.

But, if powerful, albeit a bit sad songs aren’t the vibe for you today, the Killers have your back. The frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. were playing the keyboard and guitar, respectively. The performance may sound a bit odd at first, but as soon as Flowers kicks in with the keyboard, all is made right with the dance-y, pop-fueled track.

In addition to these three, performances also came from Taylor Swift, Lizzo, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. Watch some of those below.
