Billie Joe Armstrong comments on lack of rock at the VMAs
If you tuned into MTVs’ VMAs last night, you may have found yourself indirectly asking, “Where are the rock bands?” Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong took to Twitter following the event to voice his dissatisfaction, claiming it was void of “a single young rock n roll band.” The singer’s tweet can be found below.

Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” received the award for Best Rock Video, and twenty one pilots (who are signed to Fueled By Ramen) performed their song, “heavydirtysoul.”
