Though you would maybe expect the 17-year-old son of pop-punk heavyweight Billie Joe to release a Green Day-esque album, Jakob Danger’s music takes on a persona similar to that of his main influences. In a recent interview with NME, Danger explains, “My two favourite bands are The Strokes and Beach Fossils—those are my two biggest influences. When it comes to the music and the guitar parts and bass, I like that style of music. I love the way The Strokes and Beach Fossils sound, so I wanted to see if I could write songs like that.”

Interestingly, Danger’s brother, Joey, is also signed to Burger Records where he plays drums in the band Swmrs.
