Will Netflix's new 'Black Mirror' movie let you choose the ending?

Netflix has finally dropped the trailer for a Black Mirror movie called Bandersnatch, confirming weeks of leaks and rumors regarding the Fionn Whitehead-starring film that comes to the streaming service tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 28. But will the new Black Mirror feature let you choose your own ending within the series’ dystopian sci-fi universe?

That may be the case, as reported by both Esquire and Consequence of Sound, even though any open-ended, viewer-driven finale options haven’t been confirmed by Netflix. Still, the film that’s set in the ’80s and puts Whitehead as a forward-thinking video game developer looks eerily intriguing. Watch the new Bandersnatch trailer below:

Viewers clamoring for a fifth season of the British anthology TV series first got wind of the film earlier this month, when a new Black Mirror title popped up on Netflix. However, the program appeared to be a 90-minute film as opposed to an hour-long episode, further piquing the interest of fans champing at the bit for more future-gone-wrong stories.

And while the streaming service was seemingly holding its cards close to its chest, Netflix finally confirmed the rumors today. But it leaves mysterious whether viewers will have a choice in the matter in the final moments of Bandersnatch. (Look like we’ll find out tomorrow if the choose-your-own-adventure aspect is actually true!)
