‘Black Widow’ film casts ‘Stranger Things’ fan-favorite

Marvel has announced more of the cast of its Black Widow movie, and it looks like one of our favorite Stranger Things actors is headed to the film.

David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the Netflix show, will play a role in the movie. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the exact role he’s playing is being kept under-wraps.

Academy Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz is also allegedly joining the cast.

Black Widow will make history as having MCU’s first solo female director, Cate Shortland.

Marvel Studios recently confirmed that the film will not be rated R despite rumors.

Despite the casting reports, many details are under wraps and little is known. We know that the film will star Scarlett Johansson as the titular character. The rest of the cast besides Harbour and Weisz remains unknown. Also, we don’t know if any other Avengers characters will be in the film.

The Black Widow has been portrayed by Johansson many times before in the Marvel cinematic universe. She played the character in The Avengers, Iron Man 2, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: Winter Soldier and upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, which will be released on May 4, 2018.

We previously reported that Jac Schaeffer is writing the script for the Black Widow solo movie, a first-ever for the character.

Before his death, Marvel icon Stan Lee talked about his desire to have a stand-alone movie about the character.

“One day there will be a Black Widow movie,” Lee said. It looks like his dreams are finally coming true with this film.

There is no release date for the film.

As far as Stranger Things goes, we just got a new trailer for the first 16-bit console game for the series. You can check that out below.

Recently, Stranger Things dropped the first trailer for season 3. The trailer came after the show’s account made a vague teaser featuring a video of rats on the run with the caption “it’s almost feeding time.”

The trailer dropped the following day, and you can watch that below.

Both the third season and the game will be released July 4.
