The Cincinnati, OH- based band has been working with John Feldmann on the upcoming album who also produced Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones, released back in 2013.

Vocalist Andy Biersack compared this upcoming album to Wretched and Divine back in December, “That's my favorite thing we've ever worked on. This goal is to bridge the gap between the two records. And I'm a different singer now, as well. I wouldn't be able to sing a song to completion without my throat being ripped to shreds in those days. I didn't know how to do it; I was just pushing so hard. I had that raspy vibe, I was drinking all the time and wasn't very healthy. Now, I have a much wider range vocally”

Feldmann also produced Andy Black's debut album release in The Shadow Side.

Biersack has also revealed details on recording this upcoming fifth album, “I think [guitarists] Jake [Pitts] and Jinxx and I understand each other on a level that we don't really need to talk about it. If me and Feldy [John Feldmann, producer] are in the studio at 3 a.m. coming up with some crazy eight-minute ballad, we can send it over to them, they'll listen to it once and send back this operatic guitar solo that's perfectly in sync with what we want [that song] to be. There's an unspoken language in the band, particularly when the three of us are writing these songs, there's a great chemistry. Everyone in the band feels the same way.”

December also saw the release of their first single from the album with “The Outsider.” This single marked the first release from Black Veil Brides since IV was released in 2013.

In February, Biersack was announced as the host of the 2017 APMAs.

“As host, I want to make people feel happy and create favorite moments for them, too. I want them to be stoked, whether they are attending the event or watching it from their homes,” said Biersack.

The 2017 APMAs will be at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH on July 17. Tickets can be be purchased here.

Pitts revealed the news of the album being finished through a post on Instagram along with talking about how he's grown as a musician since working with Feldmann.

“When we first worked with John back in 2012 I didn't always see eye to eye with him and I was a little close minded. I'm happy to say that I have grown so much as a musician, songwriter and producer and I owe it all to him!”

It was an absolute pleasure to work with @johnfeldy on the new @blackveilbrides album and even though it was a hell of a long time to make this album, we are excited to say it's officially mixed and mastered which equals DONE!! When we first worked with John back in 2012 I didn't always see eye to eye with him and I was a little close minded. I'm happy to say that I have grown so much as a musician, songwriter and producer and I owe it all to him! My mind has been opened up, and I have gained so much knowledge from just being in the same room as him. I am happy to call someone I aspire to be like and who inspires me a friend. This album kicks a lot of ass and I cannot wait for you all to hear it! Thanks to everyone who who helped make this album amazing! @andyblack @ceesespieces @jinxxed4life @zakkcervini @mattpauling @blasko1313 @itsjasonflom
