Black Veil Brides' new album won't be released this year, after all

Black Veil Brides’ Andy Biersack has revealed that the band’s new album will be released in 2018, according to their podcast with Rock Sound.

“The Black Veil Brides record will come out at the top end of 2018,” Biersack explains. “The reason for the delay was that—first of all—we took 15 months to make the record, we really wanted everything to be as perfect as possible.”

In his discussion with Rock Sound, Biersack says that the band’s new record will be released “at the top end of 2018,” which means we hopefully don’t have too long to wait until we can hear new music.

He explains that they worked with John Feldmann on this record, recording in a variety of places over the course of a 15-month period to make this album come to life.

“We made Wretched & Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones with John and, at least commercially, that’s been our most successful record to date. But what I think is interesting is that we’ve evolved significantly from record to record. So I think this album is a nice culmination of the many different eras of the band,” Biersack tells Rock Sound.

“I’m not going to tell you it’s our heaviest and most melodic album or [dramatic voice] the best thing we’ve ever done! [laughs] But it’s a great record that we’re really proud of and I think the fans are really going to like it and it’s a long time coming—it will have been four years since the last album by the time it’s out so I think people are going to really enjoy it.”

The album, which we were all hoping would make its debut in 2017, was delayed because the band wants to make it as perfect as possible—from the music itself to the artwork and even the touring, the band wanted to make sure it was all in place before embarking on their newest album—promising a “really big tour that I think people have wanted to see for a while.”

Plus, Biersack explained that he’ll be working on a new Andy Black album this fall, too.

“Feldy and I are starting on the new Andy Black record in the fall, so literally in a matter of weeks at this point. It will be completed by the holidays,” Biersack says.

So it looks like we have plenty of new music to look forward to!

Black Veil Brides’ new album was one of your most anticipated for the year, but it looks like we’re going to have to wait a few more months for its release. However, we can say that we’re sure the wait is going to be worth it!
