Blink-182 drop ska version of one of their songs to commemorate ‘Blink-182 Day’

Blink-182 celebrated their own self-proclaimed holiday with a ska version of “Can’t Get You More Pregnant.”

The band dubbed July 1 “Blink-182 Day” as it is the 182nd day on the calendar. There is also more worth honoring on the day because it’s the second anniversary of Blink-182’s most recent album, California.

So because of all the festivities, the band released a “party version” of the amusing 34-second track. This version of “Can’t Get You More Pregnant” is really taking us back to every summer we have ever listened to bands such as Goldfinger and Less Than Jake by a pool.

John Feldmann, the lead singer of Goldfinger, did produce California, and his influence can definitely be seen in the new remix. California was also the band’s first album with Matt Skiba as Tom DeLonge’s replacement.

The track doesn’t technically count as new music from Blink-182, which Mark Hoppus said will be “dark and weird,” but it’s nice to get some kind of new release from the band.

“If you take California and compare it to Enema Of The State, I would say that what we’re writing now is more in line with Take Off Your Pants And Jacket and the Untitled record,” Hoppus also added about the new Blink-182 music, which only makes us more hype.

Blink-182 were scheduled to play a surprise set at the final run of Vans Warped Tour, but had to postpone due to drummer Travis Barker’s recent health issues. The band actually announced they would have to reschedule all of their July tour dates due to Barker’s condition.
