blink-182 may play ‘Enema’ in full again this summer, Mark Hoppus teases

Blink-182 are teasing fans with the possibility of the band playing one of their music iconic albums live and in-full at some summer shows.

Needless to say, we’re losing our cool about it.

It all started when Mark Hoppus hopped on the official blink-182 Twitter account to answer a few fan questions.

And one fan had a question about the live shows.

“Is there a chance you’re going to play another or the same album in full at an upcoming show that may or may not have been announced yet?” the tweet read.

And, of course, to both excite and aggravate us, Hoppus gave a cryptic reply.

As expected, fans flooded the replies to guess where the special shows could be happening. See what they had to say below.

It looks like we’re not the only ones who want to jam out to classics like “Mutt” and “Dysentery Gary” in 2019.

If they follow through on playing Enema Of The State in full, it won’t be the first time. They performed at Back To The Beach festival and performed the album, including two songs they haven’t played live in years.

Blink-182 headlined the festival and fans got to experience the entire 1999 album live, including “Aliens Exist” and “Anthem” performed live for the first time with Matt Skiba instead of Tom DeLonge.

If you’re a real Enema Of The State fan, you need to see this one-of-a-kind print sale.  Next month, hard to believe, the album turns 20. In honor of the anniversary, David Goldman, the person behind the iconic photo on the cover of the record, is celebrating in an amazing way.

Goldman posted a photo reel with both the original and outtakes from the shoot to Instagram. He says it was the first record package he ever shot.

“It’s been a great piece for my portfolio even so many years later. Many people tell me that they had the album and or a poster on the wall. Very cool!!” the caption reads.

He later goes on to say he’s offering blink-182 fans a pretty amazing chance to win a piece of history in honor of the anniversary.

“So I’m going to be releasing a limited number of prints showing the full roll of images that the album cover was taken from,” the caption continues.

In his photo, the image in the bottom middle row was the winner. He will be creating custom prints on metal of the “contact print” he used in various sizes—8×10, 11×14, 16×20 and 20×24.

To get one, he says fans can reach out to his email at [email protected] and let him know the size with “blink 182 print” written in the subject.

The pricing for the prints goes as follows:

8×10 = $250 + $20.00 for shipping = $270.00 US
11×14 = $400 + $20.00 for shipping = $420.00 US
16×20 = $500 + $35.00 for shipping = $535.00 US
20×24 = $650 + $35.00 for shipping = $685.00 US

I can’t believe it but it’s true. Next month will mark the 20th anniversary of blink-182 #Enemaofthestate album. It was the very first record package I shot. It’s been a great piece for my portfolio even so many years later. Many people tell me that they had the album and or a poster on the wall. Very cool!! So I’m going to be releasing a limited number of prints showing the full roll of images that the album cover was taken from. As you can see below the bottom row middle image was selected. It says “11×14” on it, that represented the print size that was used. I will be creating custom prints on metal of this “contact print” Images sizes will be 8×10, 11×14, 16×20 and 20×24. I can go bigger but that will be a special order. The printing on metal looks amazing and will make a great gift or memorabilia for your wall. If you are interested in purchasing a print please reach out via email: [email protected] and let me know what size you would like. More news

Blink-182 have a lot going on lately. They just dropped a new song, “Blame It On My Youth,” which Tom DeLonge praised.

“You’ll also see the new blink song [on Spotify],” DeLonge says. “I’m super excited for those guys. It’s cool to see the evolution of their music. You’ll also see Mark’s other band, Simple Creatures. It looks like a little bit of punk rock is seeping through on the national music lovers index.”

You can listen to that track below.

Speaking of DeLonge, he just sent us all into a frenzy with a recent interview about the future for the original gang.

DeLonge said that he isn’t ruling out the possibility of rejoining blink-182 just yet. However, he mentioned he’s busy with  Angels & Airwaves and his space company To The Stars for now.

“I get it—trust me, I love blink and it’s given me everything in my life,” DeLonge says. “And, you know, I plan on doing it in the future. But right now there’s just no way—I have way too much going on because Angels & Airwaves is a part of To The Stars, and that’s why it works.”

In other heartwarming blink news, Hoppus recently shared a nostalgic photo of the three original members on Instagram last week. The 1999 Polaroid photo depicts the three sporting t-shirts, sneakers and the longest shorts of all time.

You can see that post below.
