blink-182 album release update sparks surprise drop fan theories

Brace yourselves, blink-182 fans. We’ve been counting down the days until the release of the band’s forthcoming album, which Travis Barker teased would be out by the time the band hit the Warped Tour 25th anniversary show’s stage in Atlantic City.

Now, it looks like a June release is no longer in the plan.

Back in March, Barker shared that fans could expect the new album before Warped Tour.

“It will definitely be out before the Warped Tour,” Barker says in an interview with Front Row Live Entertainment. “I think we’ll be wrapped up right after the time we play Back To The Beach.”

Mark Hoppus also confirmed to ABC Radio last month that the album would have an early summer release.

These teasers lead fans to believe we could expect the new album to drop in early June.  However, after last night’s Q&A with Hoppus, it looks like that may not be the case.

When a fan asked if a June release was still the plan, Hoppus responded with a simple, “no, sir.”

So when can we expect the new blink-182 album? Theories suggest that we could possibly see it as soon as tomorrow.

This sparks from another tweet Hoppus made, teasing something for this Friday.

Some Reddit users suggest we may either get an album announcement tomorrow, or the band could surprise drop the entire thing.

Could tomorrow’s announcement have something to do with the album release or something entirely different?

Luckily, we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out.
