On May 29, Powfu dropped his brand new EP poems of the past. The 6-track EP features various tracks including the original “Death Bed (Coffee For Your Head)” with Beabadoobee. Closing out the EP, however, is a new remix of the viral track featuring blink-182.

The remix is relatively similar to its original version. However, Mark Hoppus make a surprise appearance on a new verse and sings some new lyrics.

“The world might be strange but it’s a beautiful place. If we can make it through tomorrow, there’ll be brighter times. Photographs of you will get me through the day, the time we spent apart will be a memory someday,” Hoppus sings.

Along with Hoppus’ vocals, Travis Barker helps to reimagine the viral song with his signature drumming that can be heard throughout the remix.

In an interview with Z100 New York, Powfu shared that the collaboration with blink-182 is something he has wanted to do for a long time.

“I was hyped up,” Powfu says. “It was really cool, they’re the band I would want to work with the most.”
