Bonnaroo iconic archway burned down, removed by organizers

If you’ve ever attended Bonnaroo you’ve seen its iconic archway transform over the years. The Bonnaroo Arch has acted as a giant welcome for attendees, undergoing many different makeovers for over ten years now.

Sadly, those who plan to attend the festival this year will notice the festival’s original arch will no longer be on display.

Bonnaroo took to Twitter to reveal that ‘The Arch’ has been retired permanently after suffering significant structural issues.

“Goodbye old friend! This incarnation of the Bonnaroo Arch had significant structural issues and needed to be removed. The Arch has changed throughout the years, and we’re exited for it’s newest incarnation – Stay tuned + share your favorite arch pic!”

Yesterday, Festival Owl tweeted pictures of what was allegedly believed to be the Arch on fire.

Aftermath photos and a message to the festival later confirmed that it was indeed the Arch that was burned.

While some fans were devastated to see the Arch go, others believed the festival made the right call to put the iconic entrance into retirement.
