Check out Boston Manor's restless new song "England's Dreaming"

The Sex Pistols claimed there’s “no future in England’s dreaming,” and four decades later, British rockers Boston Manor turn that idea on its head. Hear the emo-pop act bury the past while battling slumber on new stunner “England’s Dreaming.”

The urgent tune’s just the latest jolt from the band’s second album, Welcome To The Neighbourhood, which hits your ‘hood this Friday (Sept. 7) via Pure Noise; it also follows last month’s drop of fine-spun first single “Bad Machine.”

Boston Manor vocalist Henry Cox says “England’s Dreaming” is “probably [his] favourite track” on the band’s sophomore LP. “The song’s about waking up one day and realizing you have nothing in common with your fellow man,” he explains.

And fans can expect an adventurous new album from the Blackpool quintet, according to Cox. “Before, we were scared to try stuff,” he says. “On this record there were no limits. We wanted to push ourselves, instead of being terrified.”
