Boston Manor say "Everything Is Ordinary" in electric new music video

Days after announcing the release date of their upcoming album GLUE, Boston Manor have dropped a brand new single and music video for “Everything Is Ordinary.”

This is the second track off the new album, the first was released last year with “Liquid” featuring Trophy Eyes singer John Floreani.

The track explores the idea of people having multiple versions of themselves that they choose to show the world.

The music video follows two masked individuals as they wander the city together before finding their way home. Flashy lights and waves decorate the sequence

The band told the world about a new track yesterday saying “Everything Is Ordinary” will be released tomorrow.

They dropped the link to the single and accompanying music video on social media this morning.

Singer Henry Cox reveals the track is a take on how people perceive the world today.

“‘Everything Is Ordinary’ is about how we’re desensitized to all of these major major problems that exist in the world today,” he says. “We’ve seen literally everything so nothing really strikes us as worrying or scary anymore and, essentially, everything is ordinary to us.”

“I was mostly thinking about the environmental crisis when we wrote this but it does apply to a lot of things that are happening right now.”

GLUE drops May 1 via Pure Noise Records and is available to preorder here.

Cox says their third LP is a bit different than what they’ve produced before.

“It’s a lot more abrasive and a weirder record,” he states. “It’s just new territory for us. The whole point was to throw away any preconceived notions of what the band is and push ourselves out of our comfort zone. This is the start of our band finally becoming the band that we want to be.”

“It’s taken us so long to get here, but I’m really proud of us for becoming our own thing. Not once did we think about what people wanted to hear, we just went entirely down the rabbit hole with it. Our only rule was to do what we wanted to do. And I’m really happy that we did that.”
