Brand New just f*cking with us at this point

People were really excited this past November when Brand New announced that they’re in the studio and have something coming in 2015. Well, they didn’t really announce anything, they just kind of updated their website with some cryptic info (anyone figure out what “Procrastinate! PoGolith Earth Sound Alliance 2015” means yet?).

The other “newsworthy” item that day was a “mysterious” button the band added to their website—it said “HYPE” and linked to a strange music video by a band dressed up in costumes (hmm). Naturally, the internet overreacted and overanalyzed.

Now, the band have changed the “HYPE” button to “NODE,” and it links to a different place—a website that is, by far, the most useless website ever created. It’s decked out in illuminati symbols and has a bunch of scientific mumbo-jumbo all over. It’s mind-blowing that someone actually made this website.

What does it mean? No clue. Honestly, it doesn’t sound too farfetched that the band are just f*cking with us, following the overreaction of last month’s “HYPE” link. But that’s not gonna stop some fans from tunneling down the rabbit hole for clues about the band’s new album.
