Brand New's Jesse Lacey finishes set by launching himself into a pool

Last night, Brand New performed at the opulent Shimmy Beach Club, which is located on the shoreline of Cape Town, South Africa. The venue’s performance region, which looks to contain a removable stage, is placed directly behind a pool area. So, of course, once the final notes of Brand New’s set rang out into the night, frontman Jesse Lacey capped things off by launching himself from the stage, directly into the water below. A fan captured the band’s final two songs, “Degausser” and “You Won’t Know,” as well as Lacey’s epic plunge.
