Breathe Carolina release studio update for 'Savages'

Breathe Carolina have released their first studio update video for their upcoming album, Savages. The record is set to release in 2014, and in the video lead singer David Schmitt explains the meaning behind the name of the album, as well as what fans can expect musically from Savages.

Savages isn’t a bad thing, it’s just about how you live your life and chasing your dreams,” says Schmitt. “I want people to get out of this record that they feel like they are a part of the band when they are done listening to it…It’s very futuristic what we are doing for this record. It’s a lot of new sounds that we have never done that we haven’t heard at all.”

The band is working on this album without former vocalist Kyle Even, due to his responsibilities as a new father, which you can read more about here. The album will, however, feature Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria) and Tyler Carter (Issues), introducing a heavier sound to Breathe Carolina’s pop-rock influences.

In addition to working on recording their new album, Breathe Carolina has been on tour and will hit the road again on February 6 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Breathe Carolina formed in 2007 in Denver, Colorado and is currently signed with Fearless Records, the label with which they are releasing Savages. Breathe Carolina has hinted that Savages will be a mixture of their musical roots and a new electronic sound, different from all three of their previous full length albums.
