See Brendon Urie prove “Bohemian Rhapsody” isn’t his only Queen cover

Panic! At The Disco‘s Brendon Urie just linked up with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots for a special performance of “Under Pressure.”

The song, originally by Queen and David Bowie, was performed beautifully using some unconventional instruments and of course, Urie’s iconic vocals.

Urie joined the Roots and Fallon for a 12-man “social-distancing remix” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonIn addition to Urie and Fallon singing their hearts out, the Roots joined in with objects from their homes to play the classic tune.

No kitchen utensil was spared as Questlove played a wine glass and butterknife, as well as a jar and a pot lid. Black Thought rocked the stream with a frosting spatula and a toaster. Other instruments used included forks, a frisbee and the ever-illusive melodica.

Of course, Urie is no stranger to covering Queen songs. He performed “Killer Queen” years ago. More recently, Urie has performed “Bohemian Rhapsody” live at a ton of concerts. He also rocked it with his performance of the track at the 2015 APMAs. Watch that below.

The cover even appeared on Suicide Squads 2016 record, Suicide Squad: The Album.

Urie mentioned the collaboration on his Twitter account.

Oh ya know, just channeling Bowie and @QueenWillRock w/ @JimmyFallon and @TheRoots

As we’re sure you know, Brendon Urie isn’t the only member of the scene to tackle to iconic “Under Pressure.” The song has been famously covered by My Chemical Romance and the Used, as well.

While we haven’t seen much from Brendon Urie or Panic! At The Disco since the outbreak of coronavirus, Jimmy Fallon has been keeping busy. The Tonight Show has kept on featuring a slew of guests since quarantine began.

As of late, he was joined by Pete Davidson to promote the upcoming film The King Of Staten Island. Before that, he put on a hilarious “sneak peek” of what we might be able to expect from Nicolas Cage‘s Tiger King show that was announced.

In fact, Fallon has been so busy during quarantine that two U.K. pranksters even convinced Tiger King’s Carole Baskin that he wanted to interview her, and she complied. That was her first public interview since the Netflix true-crime documentary aired.

Tell us what you think about Brendon Urie, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots’ “Under Pressure” cover. What piece of home equipment have you been rocking out with?
