Speaking of the Walker and Ross’ decisions to leave the group, Urie shared he was “very depressed.”
He also continued on by saying that one of his mentors gave him a piece of advice, telling Urie that he needed to just “show u” and “get out of [his] head.”
“The first split that Panic! Had, I was very depressed. I sometimes wouldn’t leave my house for weeks.
One of my greatest friends and greatest mentors Rob Mathis, he said “dude, just show up. If you just show up, things will happen- this isn’t about you. Get out of your head.”
And I just started showing up to the places that people were asking me to go and great things started happening.
You know what matters? People being happy.”
He continued the episode by mentoring aspiring musicians at the Boys and Girls Club, which has been a build-up from the first two episode from Urie’s partnership with State Farm.
