Bring Me The Horizon debut gravity-defying "mother tongue" video

Bring Me The Horizon have just released the official music video for their single “mother tongue” that is both touching and a bit, uh, messy.

The track comes from the band’s sixth album, amo, released back in January of this year.

Speaking with Zane Lowe earlier this year, Oli Sykes tells the Beats 1 DJ that the track—which follows previous singles “medicine,” “wonderful life” (featuring Cradle Of Filth‘s Dani Filth) and “MANTRA“—was inspired by meeting his wife.

“It’s probably the most gushing, out there, just straight-up love song we’ve ever written,” Sykes explains. “This was one of the easier ones to write because it was positive. It’s about when I first met my new wife, and she’s from Brazil.

“She didn’t speak so much English,” the musician continues. “She talked a lot better than my Portuguese, but from the very start, we had a really, really strong connection, and it was just a crazy time. And this song’s just talking about those experiences, which they just stick in my head. So, that was really one of the easier ones to write about.”
