The tour is in support of Bring Me The Horizon’s first No. 1 album in the UK, amo.
amo is the English act’s sixth full-length, and it’s taken a more pop approach. The band dropped it on Jan. 25 and the reactions have been on both sides of the spectrum. However, many people, including Waterparks’ Awsten Knight, stan the record.
Lead singer Oli Sykes shared some words about fans who hate it.
“I love how much this record is polarising peeps,” Sykes writes online. “Hasn’t been like this since we released Suicide Season. A lot of kids were quick to shit all over it. Because it was something very different from the scene we was in.”
However, he acquiesces to fans of the band’s heavy stuff, “I 100% support and encourage people’s true opinions and if you are someone who’s only a fan of metal & hardcore with no exceptions, you are well within your right to hate this.”
