Set to make appearances in Louisville, Japan and Chicago, Calpurnia made the announcement today that they were going to have to cancel these summer shows.

“Hello everybody. Unfortunately, due to scheduling issues we are not going to be able to perform this summer. We are so sorry to let you know that we need to cancel our July shows in Louisville (Forecastle), Japan (Fuji Rock) and our August show in Chicago (Lollapalooza).

We’re still rocking, writing, playing, listening and most of all, loving your support. Please take care of each other and make this your best summer yet!

Thanks so much for your understanding. We’re very grateful for you.

Love Finn, Ayla, Malcolm, Jack”

Calpurnia released their debut, six-track EP Scout last year.

Earlier this year the band starred in Weezer’s music video for their “Take On Me” cover.

The “Take On Me” video shows the whole Calpurnia crew rocking out at a throwback jam sesh in Wolfhard’s living room. To give us even more ‘80s vibes, there are doodled animations of the band throughout. Check out the video below.

To make the whole thing even more meta, let’s not forget when Wolfhard performed “Buddy Holly” by Weezer during Lip Sync Battle with his fellow Stranger Things cast members. In case you forgot about that moment in history, you can check it out below.
