'Carmen Sandiego' is being rebooted, coming to Netflix

Carmen Sandiego has been a staple of the book, film and TV world since the mid 1980s and now the criminal mastermind is coming to Netflix.

io9 reported the news along with reporting that the series will be “20 episodes long, each lasting 22 minutes, and will tackle the mysteries of Carmen’s past, exploring her origins as she goes on even more international capers”

What has us even more excited about this news is the announcement of who would play Carmen Sandiego. Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez will play Sandiego and has already tweeted about the role. Check it out below.

Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard will portray The Player described as “Carmen’s chief accomplice and friend.”

Unfortunately for us and fans of Carmen Sandiego, this Netflix series won't be hitting the website until 2019, but that's okay, we can still binge Stranger Things for the 500th time until then.
