Circa Survive, Saves The Day, Cartel to play classic albums at Chain Fest

Chain Fest is back in 2020 with an incredible lineup thanks to legendary punk venue Chain Reaction‘s partnership with Live Nation Entertainment. Chain Fest will take place on May 23 at the FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, CA.

This year features a slew of legendary bands. Those playing will be Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, Circa Survive, Saves The Day, Anberlin, Glassjaw, Cartel and Acceptance.

Chain Reaction is an iconic punk venue in Southern California. Often described as the “CBGB‘s of the Left Coast,” Chain Reaction opened in 1996. The intimate venue has played host to bands such as Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday and Death Cab For Cutie. Chain Reaction is an all ages and alcohol-free venue. This allows teens and others to have a safe space to watch some of their favorite bands perform. The most recent and only Chain Fest was in 2016, to celebrate 20 years of the legendary venue.

Now, Chain Fest is taking over the FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, CA this Spring.

One of the most exciting bands to join the festival is Cartel, who seems to be up to something big as we reported on Feb. 11.

Even more special is that many of the bands are slated to play songs from very special albums in their careers. Circa Survive will play songs from Blue Sky Noise, which they are about to head out on tour to play. Saves The Day will be performing their seminal album Through Being Cool. Glassjaw and Cartel are also playing tracks from their debut albums. Those are Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence and Chroma, respectively.

If seeing all of these sick bands wasn’t enough for you, Chain Fest is also supporting a good cause.

Chain Fest will be raising money for the Living The Dream Foundation. They are non-profit foundation that helps children and young adults living with life-threatening illnesses stay positive, maintain hope, and appreciate each and every day, regardless of their affliction. All information on this wonderful foundation can be found here.

Tickets for Chain Fest go on sale this Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m PST/1 p.m. EST. Tickets can be purchased here. General admission tickets start at just $59.50. VIP tickets packages are also available for purchase.
