The new trailer for the second season revealed that Manson will be involved to some extent in the upcoming season. Itโs not clear how involved, but Manson was shown in custody in the video.ย

You can check out the teaser below.ย
Herriman has opened up in a recent interview about what itโs like to play the role of the killer twice.ย
โMindhunter came first,โ Herriman said on the Back to One podcast. ย โ(Charles Manson) is in jail at that point. So yeah, itโs different. Because of that age gap. Manson, in the Tarantino movie, is pre-jail, and heโs kind of in his court jesterโฆ out there just living on the ranch and taking drugs and having sex.โย
โHeโs in that sort of whole cult life world. And then in jail, heโs an incredibly bitter, angry man. A certain lightness existed in him in the early stuffโฆhe doesnโt feel like the same guy anymore when you see him in jail. He looks pretty pissed off most of the time.โ

Then, he discussed getting inside of the mind of a killer for the Netflix show.ย
โThe closest thing I can think of to him is a homeless person,โ Herriman continued. โMaybe someone with schizophrenia that you see talking to themselves on the street. A lot of his interviews have that sense, where [heโs] just spouting stuff that doesnโt make sense. Other times it does make sense, like a lot of sense. So clearly the guy was mentally ill. Iโve read and watched a whole hell of a lot; I still donโt really know what made him tick.โ
After he was cast as Manson in Mindhunter, he took on the role in the Tarantino film.ย
โ(Tarantino) knew that I had done (the show), because obviously it wouldโve been weird to keep that a secret,โ Herriman said. โBut he didnโt ask about any of it. He certainly didnโt say, โI want you to do something different.โ But there was enough already that I found that was different about him. And I looked different in that too.โ
Herriman is only shown briefly in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so itโll be interesting to see how his character changes in the series.ย

Quentin Tarantinoโs latest film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood pays homage to many real people and events from the โ60s, including late action star Bruce Lee.ย
Now, Leeโs daughter has come out to condemn her fatherโs appearance in the film and the way they utilized his character.ย
โI understand they want to make the Brad Pitt character this super bad-ass who could beat up Bruce Lee. But they didnโt need to treat him in the way that white Hollywood did when he was alive,โ Shannon Lee told the Wrap. โHe comes across as an arrogant asshole who was full of hot air. And not someone who had to fight triple as hard as any of those people did to accomplish what was naturally given to so many others.โ
Lee saw the film over the weekend and was โreally uncomfortable to sit in the theater and listen to people laugh at my fatherโ. She was apparently not given a script in advance like Sharon Tateโs sister was.ย

โHeโs the one with all the puffery and heโs the one challenging Brad Pitt. Which is not how he was,โ she said. โWhat Iโm interested in is raising the consciousness of who Bruce Lee was as a human being and how he lived his life. All of that was flushed down the toilet in this portrayal, and made my father into this arrogant punching bag.โ
Despite her feelings about the character, she praised Mike Moh for the performance he gave in the film.ย
โHe was directed to be a caricature,โ she said she believes.ย

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is Tarantinoโs ninth film and uses the Manson Family murders as a backdrop.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood takes place in 1969 in Los Angeles and stars Pitt and DiCaprio in the lead roles. As previously reported, DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton, a โformer star of a western TV series.โ Pitt is Cliff Booth, who is Daltonโs โlongtime stunt double.โ The two characters are โstruggling to make it in a Hollywood they donโt recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighborโฆ Sharon Tate.โ
Robbie stars as Sharon Tate, an actress who was killed along with several others who were apart of Mansonโs cult. Actor Damon Herriman plays Manson in the film.
The films cast also includes Al Pacino, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, Lena Dunham, Dakota Fanning and many more.
Charles Manson, who died back in November, was the leader of the Manson Family, a murderous cult. The cult was connected with the murders of actress Tate, who was pregnant at the time. Also, they allegedly murdered several others in Los Angeles during July and August of 1969.
The film was released last Friday. It was initially set to appear in theaters on August 9, the 50th anniversary of the murder of Tate and her friends. However, it was moved to avoid possible controversy.
