Chester Bennington agrees with Corey Taylor's advice: "Time to recalibrate my perspective"

You're probably aware that Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has not been too pleased with some fan's comparisons between Hybrid Theory and One More Light. You also may be aware that Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor reminded him to “be fortunate.”

Well now Bennington has agreed with him, stating in a series of tweets that upon reading Taylor's comments on the situation, it's “time to recalibrate.” (via NME)

Corey Taylor had said that although he understands where Bennington was coming from, he “would have never said it the way he did.”

“I understand his frustration but at same time it’s like, 'why would you get mad at your left foot because your right foot is doing pretty good?'” Taylor added. “You can get frustrated, and you want people to embrace the evolution. But at the same time, man, you should probably be very fortunate that people, this long along the line, still love that music you made.”

Chester Bennington in response has admitted, “I'm human and sometimes take things too personally. Most of our fans have been very positive lately. Some… not so much.”

He also noted that “there is a lot of passion on both sides,” and that he's grateful to all of Linkin Parks fans. “Corey is a good dude,” he went on, “and I appreciate him too… Time to recalibrate my perspective. So I say to all of our fans… Thank you and I love you all. Peace, love and happiness”.
