Per a report from TMZ, the rapper was playing a show at Dallas’ American Airlines Center when he reportedly broke his foot, making him unable to play the last 30 minutes of his set.

Some fans attending the event noted that Glover may have aggravated a preexisting injury.

Following the injury, Fam Rothstein of Wolf + Rothstein, took to Twitter to share that dates for Glover’s last Gambino tour ever, was simply “postponed, not canceled” and that Glover “played through the pain but has to sit some dates out.”

It’s currently unknown how long Glover will be postponing the remaining dates of the tour, but according to Fam, he’ll be back before the end of 2018.

During a show at Atlanta’s Infinite Energy Arena, Glover confirmed to fans that he would officially be hanging up his Childish Gambino moniker after this tour.

“Number one, if you’re at this show, then you know this is the last Gambino tour ever,” Glover shared to the crowd in a clip uploaded by a Reddit user. “I love you forever for supporting me and coming out. If you’re in here, that means you bought a ticket. So, you don’t need to film this shit. Experience this shit. This is not a concert. This is fucking church.”

Donald Glover announced earlier last year of his plans to retire the “Childish Gambino” moniker after he released his forthcoming, and coincidentally last, album.

The news, of course, didn’t go over well with fans of the rap artist. While there was hope that Glover would possibly change his mind following his first major label deal, it looks as though that’s simply not the case.

There’s no official word on when we can expect the Gambino album, we do know that the new project will be his last.
