During last night’s show at Atlanta’s Infinite Energy Arena, Donald Glover confirmed to fans that he would officially be hanging up his Childish Gambino moniker after this tour.

“Number one, if you’re at this show, then you know this is the last Gambino tour ever,” Glover shared to the crowd in a clip uploaded by a Reddit user. “I love you forever for supporting me and coming out. If you’re in here, that means you bought a ticket. So, you don’t need to film this shit. Experience this shit. This is not a concert. This is fucking church.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that people who purchased tickets were sent two tracks in preparation for the upcoming tour. Those tracks, titled “Algorhythm” and “All Night,” were the songs Gambino opened his set with.

Check out the footage of that below:

Donald Glover announced earlier last year of his plans to retire the “Childish Gambino” moniker after he released his forthcoming, and coincidentally last, album.

The news, of course, didn’t go over well with fans of the rap artist. While there was hope that Glover would possibly change his mind following his first major label deal, it looks as though that’s simply not the case.

There’s no official word on when we can expect the Gambino album, we do know that the new project will be his last.
