Chiodos announce August 9 hometown show at Flint Local 432

Chiodos have announced their first show back before going on a short string of tour dates will be August 9 at the recently reopened Flint Local 432 in Flint, MI (where the Swellers will be having their 10-year anniversary show). Support will come from the Most Dangerous Animal and A Hero Fails. Read a statement from the band below.

Hello everyone! With shows starting just a week away, we are all getting pretty geeked to get together and play. When trying to think of the most perfect way to reunite for our first show, we figured what better way than to do it old school and play a show at the place that made us a band in the first place. Back in 2002, we started playing at a venue called the Flint Local 432, a venue that we had grown up going to concerts together to, being inspired by other local acts to start our own band. After being shut down for seven years, it has re-opened this summer and we feel it is fitting to do our first show back at the Local next Thursday, Aug 9. We feel that local music is ideal in creating inspiration and opportunity for all musicians, and it's very important to keep venues like this alive, that's why a portion of our ticket proceeds will be donated back to the club. If in the area, come down and support the scene that we came from, and help local music grow.”

You can catch the band at this year's Riot Fest.
