Chiodos enter the studio with David Bottrill, band comments

Chiodos are currently in the studio with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Stone Sour) recording their new album—slated for a 2014 release via Razor & Tie Records.

Check out what the band had to say below:

Craig Owens: “We’re excited to be working with Dave Bottrill on this new Chiodos record. Some of the records he’s done have influenced the band and helped us define what we’ve become. Muse, Tool, and Silverchair are all at the top of our list, and it’s amazing to be working with someone that’s already been a part of our history, indirectly. So for the next two months, we’ll be hiding out in the woods of upstate NY, in a hollowed out Church turned studio – creating what is to be the next chapter of this crazy Chiodos journey.”

Bradley Bell: “One of my favorite aspects of being a musician is the experience that comes along with going into the studio. It’s one of those things you can’t really plan for and just have to let the music and relationships take you down their paths organically. To be able to do this with this group of guys is going to be very exciting, and we get the pleasure of working with David Bottrill to top it off, whom I’ve been a fan of for years.”

Thomas Erak: “I personally am excited to start my journey with the band, in regards to songwriting. This album should give me a new area to peruse in terms of guitar work.”
