chloe moriondo has released a new video for their single “Favorite Band.” The video features a variety of notable cameos from the alternative music scene’s biggest names, including members of Simple Plan, who are referenced repeatedly throughout the song’s contagious hook, as well as appearances from All Time Low, Girlpool, Great Grandpa and many more.

In addition to the new music video, moriondo will be embarking on their Blood Bunny headline tour this fall to celebrate the release of their new album of the same name. They will be joined by special guests Kid Sistr, Alfie Templeman, Jackie Hayes and Wallice with additional artists to be included on select dates.

At only 19 years old, moriondo proudly showcases their broad range of influences. However, what’s so remarkable is that they have not only managed to outdo many of their idols and peers musically but have also seemed to master the art of crafting heart-wrenching, hair-raising hooks. Their tracks are sure to make anyone nostalgic for memories of blissful youth while guiding the listener to look inwards with a sense of introspection at every turn. moriondo is a unique voice in a scene that is craving originality and authenticity, both of which they possess in full. Their latest single “Favorite Band” is a powerful testament to being artistically vulnerable and relatable to all listeners.

On “Favorite Band,” moriondo laments past heartbreak while making witty references to the artists they turned to during this period as a means to cope. The result is a song that delivers a message that they will be just fine as long as they have music to turn to. This is a special theme in many ways, because though the song is about their experience of turning to music to get through trying times, the song speaks more broadly about how music can  provide the same sense of therapy for moriondo’s audience.

The video for “Favorite Band” sees moriondo in several locations, including a mock-up of their bedroom plastered with posters of their favorite bands, not unlike the settings we ourselves surely grew up in as die-hard music fans. Other highlights include moriondo frolicking through Venice Beach while playing with snakes, riding escalators through a mega mall and hilarious encounters with A-list stars from the alternative music scene.

The video’s two most iconic scenes show moriondo in a fake fight with All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat and zipping around on a golf cart with Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier. The most beautiful part of the video is the display of heartbreak. At one point, it shows the feelings of isolation and retreat to a safe space. It also demonstrates the importance of getting back out into the world and enjoying a beautiful day, leaning on friends, music and not taking life too seriously whenever possible. “Favorite Band” is musically and visually stunning, with both components playing into one another seamlessly.
