Chris Fehn returns to music on same day as Slipknot album release
A lot of discussion around the new Slipknot album has revolved around the departure of percussionist Chris Fehn, but since being fired he’s now made his return to music.
While it’s likely a strange coincidence, Fehn guests on a new song from Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell that arrived on the same day as the new Slipknot album.

The new track from Campbell, “These Old Boots,” also features Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars and Twisted Sister vocalist Dee Snider.
Fehn was ousted from the nu metal giants earlier this year for suing the remainder of Slipknot over allegedly not being properly compensated.
It was later revealed that Slipknot manager Robert Shore requested for Fehn’s lawsuit be thrown out. Fehn then accused Shore of cheating him out of profits from Slipknot.
He states Shore made decisions that benefited himself instead of Slipknot and was therefore not looking out for his best interest.
Shore’s team then filed a motion against Fehn’s statement and still want the case to be over. Shore’s motion states that Fehn’s complaint doesn’t address the issue Shore raised in his original request for dismissal, saying that it means they must proceed to process his quest. He also claimed Fehn missed a deadline to submit such an amendment by several days.
Since then, the band replaced Fehn with an unknown member who’s been hilariously nicknamed “Tortilla Man.”
The new track from Campbell is the first thing anyone’s heard from Fehn since all of the legal troubles began.
