In a recent interview with Esquire magazine, Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the franchise, addressed the shocking ending of Infinity War, but not before teasing that the upcoming Avengers film will have even more twists and turns.

“If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking, for other reasons entirely.”

Hemsworth continues on to say:

“That’s what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique—not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys.”

While the fate of our favorite superheroes is still unknown, we do know that the upcoming Avengers movie is sure to be a turning point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Per a report from Hypebeast, the forthcoming film’s official synopsis reads as follows:

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth instalment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”

The still-untitled Avengers 4 flick is set to make its theatrical release May 3, 2019!
