Last month, the band dropped their epic 10-minute lead single “the Dark Sentencer,” and today, the band shared that they will be releasing a massive fifteen track, self-produced 78-minute album, out Oct. 5.
The forthcoming release is set to be a follow-up of 2015’s The Color Before The Sun and it shows the band returning to the sci-fi narrative of the Amory Wars, a concept that was last looked into on 2012’s The Afterman.
In addition to the album, the band also announced plans to release a limited edition Vaxis – Act 1: The Unheavenly Creatures Deluxe Box Set. The deluxe variation of the album will include an 80-plus page illustrated sci-fi novel, as well as the complete Act 1 novella written by frontman Claudio Sanchez and his wife, Chondra Echert.
Coheed And Cambria have announced that pre-orders for the Vaxis – Act 1: The Unheavenly Creatures Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set is now available.
Pre-orders for The Unheavenly Creatures standard edition will begin this Friday, June 29, with new music from the new album dropping next week.
